‘The Sound Collector at the Zoo’ by Pola

Female Sumatran Tiger, Mannis of Ueno Zoo / スマトラトラのマニス♀(上野動物園) Toshihiro Gamo via Compfight

A stranger called this morning

Dressed all in black and grey,

Put every sound into a bag

And carried them away.

The growling of the tiger,

The laughing of the hyena,

The whistling of the orcas,

The thumping of the elephants,

A stranger called this morning.

He didn’t leave his name,

Left us only silence,

Life will never be the same.

Work done with Ms. Kelly.
