  1. Hi, can you tell me who wrote ‘gugalai gug mo choircin dubh’ le do thoil??

    thanks!

    Sinead

  2. Hi Sinead,
It’s a traditional Irish nursery rhyme. I had checked online, and there is no author for it.

Having said that, you will find it in ‘Rabhlaí, Rabhlaí’ http://www.cdu.mic.ul.ie/rabhlai/default.htm a collection of traditional Irish children’s rhymes which was put together by Roibeard O’Cathasaigh. I use this cd a lot and the children love it.

There is a compilation of traditional rhymes for children on CD ‘Gugalaí Gug, Traditional Rhymes In Irish’ put together by Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin and John Ryan https://itunes.apple.com/ie/album/gugalai-gug-traditional-rhymes/id179889576 . This is also very well produced and catchy.

    Hope this helps,
    Merry Beau
