Music Matters: Songs we are learning in class

3rd Class Room 14 LOVE to sing.

Here are some songs we are learning in school.

Here they are on Vimeo. Unlike You Tube Vimeo is not blocked in school.

Please supervise your child online.

The internet is a postal to the world outside.

  1. Mrs. Dempsey is teaching us

‘Carol of the Bells’ for the Christmas Pageant.

Here is a version of the song.

The introduction lasts about 40 seconds

and then you should be able to recognize it.

We are not quite this good yet, but we are working on it.

St. Brigid’s Day: February 1st: ‘We Sing A Song To Brigid’

We sing a song to Brigid,
Brigid brings the spring
Awakens all the fields and the flowers
And calls the birds to sing.
All were welcome at her door,
no one was turned away.
She loved the poor,
the sick and the sore,
She helped them on their way.
She laid her cloak out on the ground
And watched it grow and grow,
In wells and streams and fields of green

St. Brigid’s blessings flow.

And the silk inside a chestnut shell
