Once upon a time …

Mr.Jelly was out walking

through the wood when he

saw a ghost.

He told Mr Happy.

‘Stuff and nonsense’, Mr Happy said.

Then he told the Mr Men. They didn’t believe him,

so he brought them there. They didn’t see anything.

When they had left Mr Jelly saw a witch making a spell.

He called the Mr Men again, but they didn’t see anything.

When they had gone he went to his cottage very

disappointed, that the Mr. Men had not seen them.

Living in England as a kid, I had these books...

Once upon a time …

there lived Mr Chatterbox.

He was talking to his plants. Of course he was.

He went for a walk still talking.

He met Mr Bump and you can guess what happened next.

‘Hello…’, said Mr Chatterbox

‘It’s a lovely day…’ and he talked and talked

All day and all night and bump.

Mr. Bump bumped all the way home.

One day Mr Chatterbox lost his voice.

A very sad Mr Chatterbox made an appointment

for Doctor Make You Well.

The doctor said, you must say in bed for one week.

After that he went back to the doctor’s house.

He said

Now I know doctor people don’t like me

because I talk too much

and he got to be somebody who was a rock star.

Mr.Small was very small, probably the smallest person

you’ve never seen in your whole life.

Or perhaps Mr Small is small because

he does eat very much.

However this was getting a bit too much.

He decided to get a job.

He was having a tiny drop of lemonade.

He got a job of writing stories.

And again

Once upon a time ….

there lived Mr Happy.

He saw a butterfly.

He made a statue of the butterfly because this butterfly

was a Happy Land butterfly.

In a while Mr Bump came round for a visit and BUMP!

Mr. Bump had knocked down Mr Happy’s statue

I’m sorry … so he got him lots and lots of flowers and a

Loveheart Teddy.

Then Mr Clumsy came by and messed up the flowers

but Mr Happy didn’t mind

At least he still had the heart

but Mr Messy messed that up too.

Poor Mr Happy.

No statue.

No flowers.

No Love Heart.

Once upon a time …

there lived Kyle.

He was playing shapes with Mr Cool

‘Make a triangle’, said Kyle

‘Easy,’ said Mr Cool

and he turned upside down

‘Cool’ , said Kyle.

Mr Cool clicked his fingers and nothing happened.

Mr Cool had lost his coolness.

A sad Kyle and a sad Mr Cool.
